The infographic of the Messerschmit Me 262-1A "Schwalbe", one of the first jet planes in history, features in the Illustreret Videnskab Historie's Rundt om... (About...) Commissioned by the German Luftwaffe at the end of the Second World War, this fighter-bomber was equipped with other novelties besides the jet engine, such as radar (for night flights) and rocket launchers. Capable of a maximum speed of 900 km/h, it could climb to 10,000 m in altitude. "Schwalbe" means swallow in German.
