Crustaceans

Although associated to the aquatic environment, where they have achieved their greatest evolutionary success, crustaceans live in all environments. Their bodies are divided into three parts: cephalothorax (pereion), abdomen (pleon) and posterior part (telson). Crabs are decapods, although two of their legs have been turned into clawed arms. Regarding its life cycle, the female of the crab spawns in saline waters, where the larvae will grow until they become young crabs, which will migrate to less saline waters. This infographic from the Ábaco collection, belongs to the Invertebrates series, which also include the originally titled infographics: Metamorphosis, Spiders, Insects and Sucking and stinging.
