Bovine Cloning
Cloning is obtaining an organism identical to another by means of some technique. The most widely used with animals is called nucleus transfer. It consists of replacing the nucleus of one cell with another, so that, when dividing, it gives rise to an organism identical to the donor, with very slight differences. The infographic specifies the steps followed on the nucleus transfer technique, in bovine cloning. From the extraction of a fibroblast from the ear of a donor, cow or bull, to the development of the fetus in the uterus of a donor mother. This infographic is part of the series The Age of Genetics, also made up of Genetic Solutions, Genetic Therapies, Biochip Applications and Stem Cells.
