Anatomical description of the Gigantosaurus (Giganotosaurus carolinii), a carnivorous dinosaur from the Cretaceous period. Bipedal and with a 156 cm long skull, provided with large jaws with long and sharp teeth with jagged edges, the fossils of this theropod were first discovered in the Argentinean Patagonia. It is considered the largest land predator in the southern hemisphere. It is estimated that it measured between 12 and 13 m and could reach a weight of up to 8 tons.
