The Dimetrodon was a carnivorous reptile that walked on all fours through swampy areas of dense vegetation. In its adult phase, it could weigh 250 kg and measure 3 m in length. Its main anatomical feature was the large sail it displayed on its back. It lived 270 million years ago, during the Lower Permian, and was the most dangerous predator of its time. The United States, Russia, and South Africa are some of the places where his fossils have been discovered. This infographic from the Ábaco collection is part of the Dinosaurs series, which also includes those titled: Brachiosaurus, Carnotaurus, Gigantosaurus, Pteranodon and Triceratops.
