The Giganotosaurus (Giganotosaurus carolinii) was the largest carnivorous dinosaur that ever lived. It weighed 8 tons and measured over 12 meters. It lived 90 million years ago in Argentinian Patagonia. When it walked bipedally, the femur was the longest and heaviest bone in its skeleton.
