The body of insects, divided into three parts: head, thorax and abdomen, has unique characteristics. The head is provided with antennas and large eyes. The antennas have very varied looks and various sensory functions. Their mouthparts are adapted to the kind of food they eat. And their legs, in pairs, are adapted to their use and to the environment in which they live. Its circulatory system is open. Blood is propelled by a tubular heart and accessory contractile organs propel it to wings and legs. This infographic from the Ábaco collection, belongs to the Invertebrates series, which also include the originally titled infographics: Metamorphosis, Spiders, Sucking and stinging and Crustaceans.
