Six Apollo missions managed to land on the lunar surface. Each trip provided data about the satellite which developed space science. The Apollo program, which started in July 1960, was one of the triumphs of modern technology. In 1971 the Rover, an electric vehicle that astronauts used to explore it, was landed on the Moon. In 1997, the Moon orbiter Prospector was circling the Moon for 19 months, observing it and making various measurements. This infographic from the Ábaco collection is part of the series The Moon, which also includes the original titles: One Big Leap, Internal Structure, Eclipses and The Moon and the Tides.
