Spiders

Spiders are known for the silk they produce to make their cobwebs. With it they also build their nests, capture their prey and defend themselves. Both males and females produce cobwebs, which can be wet or dry depending on the species. The spider produces several threads at once, which are liquid until they emerge outside. Spider silk is as strong as steel and twice as elastic as nylon. This infographic from the Ábaco collection, belongs to the Invertebrates series, which also include the originally titled infographics: Metamorphosis, Insects, Sucking and stinging and Crustaceans.
