The Irish Times

  • Ozone Layer

The Irish newspaper The Irish Times (founded in 1859 and one of the largest in the country) showed its readers how, why and when the hole in the ozone layer appears on the Antarctic continent, and its evolution. To the Ingographics90 infographic, the client added elements of his own, such as photography and the name of the publication's chief science editor: Dick Ahlstrom, who, in this way, endorsed the quality of the content. The newspaper, which renewed its image in 2012, launched a marketing campaign under the title The Story of Why to update its editorial line and, at the same time, to maintain the loyalty of its readers, attracting others. Among the novelties, a special science section stood out, published on Thursdays, in which this poster was included.
