Before its closure in 2013, the prestigious Turkish history weekly NTV Tarih, linked to the Dogus Media Group conglomerate, chose this infographic of Çatalhöyük, one of the most important Neolithic sites in the world, for its Büyütec (With Magnifying Glass) section. Located in the southeast of the present-day Turkey, Çatalhöyük is one of the oldest models of transition from sedentary lifestyle to urban societies. Inhabited for more than 2,000 years, the site preserves remains ranging from 7400 to 5200 BC, from the Neolithic to the Chalcolithic. In 2012, UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site. Page(s): 88-89
